Biography
Dr. Colson received both her MD from Mayo Medical School and her PhD in pathology and transplant immunology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989. She returned to Pittsburgh for postgraduate training in general surgery and a research fellowship in bone marrow chimerism and transplantation tolerance. Joining DFCI in 1998, she is the principal investigator defining a novel protein complex associated with allogeneic hematopoeitic stem cell engraftment, while pursuing clinical training in cardiothoracic surgery.
