Biography
Dr. Canellos received his MD in 1960 from Columbia University. After internship and residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, he was a clinical associate at the National Cancer Institute and a research fellow at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London. From 1975 to 1995, he served as chief of DFCI's Division of Medical Oncology and as medical director for network development for Dana-Farber/Partners CancerCare. He is currently a senior physician at DFCI and Brigham and Women's Hospital.He is the formerEditor in chief of the Journal of Clinical Oncology and President of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
